Understanding Cialis and its Uses

Cialis is a medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, facilitating an erection when sexually aroused.

Cialis belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors, which work by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow. By inhibiting PDE5, Cialis allows for increased blood flow to the penis, allowing for a firm and lasting erection.

How to Use Cialis Effectively

Cialis should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. This ensures that it is absorbed and reaches the site of the medication.

Your doctor will conduct a thorough assessment to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. Following this assessment, they will then discuss your individual needs and medical history. Your doctor will also provide guidance on how to take Cialis safely and effectively.

Additionally, if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking other medications, your doctor may recommend alternative treatments. These include medical tests, dietary supplements, or herbal remedies.

Dosage and Administration

The dosage of Cialis varies based on the condition being treated. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose for you based on your medical history and any potential side effects you may experience.

For men who are experiencing erectile dysfunction, the usual starting dose is 20mg, taken about 30 minutes before anticipated sexual activity. The dosage may be increased up to 40mg per day, depending on your response and tolerance.

Cialis can be taken with or without food.

As with any drug product, there may be side effects. Generally, patients who experience side effects usually get them within 12 to 24 hours after taking Tadalafil. Side effects usually resolve on their own within 48 hours.

Most common Tadalafil side effects

  • Headache
  • Indigestion
  • Back pain
  • Muscle pain
  • Flushing
  • Stuffy nose

Some more serious side effects have been reported. While rare, it is important to stop taking Tadalafil and contact a doctor right away if any of the following occur:

  • An erection will not go away (priapism). If you have an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours, get medical help right away. If not treated right away, priapism can permanently damage the penis.
  • Sudden vision loss in one or both eyes. Sudden vision loss can be a sign of a serious eye problem called non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropath (NAION).
  • Sudden hearing decrease or hearing loss. Some may also have ringing in the eyes (tinnitus) or dizziness.

Possible drug interactions

Some drugs/medications may interact with Tadalafil. You should not take Tadalafil if you are taking nitrates (such as nitroglycerin tablets or patches) because the combination of these with Tadalafil could significantly lower blood pressure and lead to fainting or even death. Additionally, do not take Tadalafil if you are taking Cisapride, other ED medications (e.g. Viagra), Adcirca, or Riociguat.

On your intake form, please be sure to provide AgelessRx with all medications, herbs, non-prescription drugs, or dietary supplements you use. Also be sure to report if you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs, as some may interact with your medication.

Other important safety information

Patients who have a condition called “left ventricular outlet obstruction” from valvular problems or heart muscle enlargement may get side effects such as fainting or light-headedness. Because patients with recent heart attacks or stroke, heart pains (angina), heart failure, uncontrolled blood pressure or uncontrolled irregular heart beats, severe liver disease, and retinal eye problems have not been studied, Tadalafil (Cialis) is not recommended for these patients. There may be rare occurrences of priapism or painful, prolonged erections. This is a serious condition that requires immediate medical attention. Patients should seek prompt medical attention if their erection lasts longer than four hours.

After taking a single tablet, Tadalafil can remain in the body for up to two days. It can remain longer if patients have problems with their kidneys or liver, or they are taking certain other medications.

Background:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the tadalafil citrate oral suspension (CS) and tadalafil-based Cialis (C) to improve compliance and compliance to the Cialis product regimen (i.e., C-20) for erectile dysfunction patients in a randomized clinical trial.

Methods:A retrospective, prospective study was conducted in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) who were randomly assigned to take either tadalafil (Tadalafil) or Cialis (Cialis) at a single dose. Patients were included in the study if they were able to swallow the Cialis product and could not take the tadalafil product due to lack of efficacy. The study protocol was approved by the institutional review boards of the University of North Carolina, and the Institutional Review Board of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Results:A total of 936 patients were included in the study. Overall, the average age of the patients was 46.3 years (range, 32 to 70 years). The mean International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) scores were 3.3 ± 2.1 (mean ± SD) and 4.3 ± 2.2 (mean ± SD) in the tadalafil group, and mean IIEF score was 2.8 ± 1.3 (mean ± SD) in the Cialis group. The mean IIEF score in the tadalafil group was significantly higher than in the Cialis group (5.9 ± 2.1 vs. 4.7 ± 2.0; P = 0.000). The mean IIEF score in the Cialis group was significantly higher than in the Tadalafil group (5.9 ± 2.3 vs. 5.6 ± 2.3; P = 0.000). The tadalafil group had significantly more ED (P = 0.000) and ED (P = 0.000) than the Cialis group (P = 0.000). The Cialis group had significantly more ED (P = 0.000) and ED (P = 0.000) than the Tadalafil group.

Conclusion:Tadalafil and Cialis were more effective than tadalafil in improving erectile function in ED patients in a randomized clinical trial.
